STAR SCHOLARSHIP

The Strategic Targeted Achievers Recognition Scholars Program is a scholarship for an exceptional undergraduate student seeking enrollment in the College of Engineering, Department of Material Science and Engineering at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

It aims to raise awareness of material science engineering and accelerate diversification of the undergraduate student body in the field to attract a more diverse future workforce.

OUR MISSION

To expose undergraduate students to material science engineering and work with companies to get talent in the door in order to increase the amount of students going into the material science field and create a community of students and potential employers.

HOW YOU CAN HELP

Consider donating below to help us reach our goal of $75,000. Any amount you can donate will go directly towards a full, renewable scholarship for an undergraduate student in the College of Engineering at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Thanks to a generous gift from The Grainger Foundation, $20 million in new matching funds have been made available for scholarships at the College of Engineering. Therefore, for those who are courageous, any gifts of $25,000 or more will be matched by The Grainger Foundation. You can designate the name for the scholarship, but please ensure that the name includes STAR and double-check that you are donating to the Gilbert-Wells fund in order for your donation to be eligible for the match.
